How long can your sim last without curing sickness/illness?

Just started to wonder about this! How long can your sim last being sick? Will it stay forever or will it eventually pass? I'm trying this out because I'm tired of my sim being sick, then taking medicine only to be sick again seconds later either with the same illness or another one!

the sickness will go away on its own, except the rodent fever or diseases from poison dart as these will kill your sims eventually

I had a sim who got poison darts twice and she got cured somehow before I had a chance to look for the antidote.

I don't treat my sims unless it's something that can be serious. Usually they get over it after a few days.

Often my sims will just get over it if they take a nap. But sometimes I forget altogether and it does go away in a few days.

As far as I know rabid rodent fever(from my first pet stuff) and getting hit with a poison dart(from jungle adventure) are the only two illnesses your sim can die from if left untreated. The rest just go away on their own over time.
