  • I completely pulled my mods and saved file, out of my Sims 4 folder before adding the update. I also and deleted my cache files.
  • I'd remove any mods you have, since unless they are CC they will completely break after this patch with the new python change/update to the Sims game.

Maybe even backup your save game and tray folder somewhere else and delete the my sims folder in the documents/electronic arts folder. Or reboot. Or do a repair files.

Regardless it sounds like you need to restart origin at the very least.
  • Mine was stuck in 100% for ages. I paused it then restarted origin then went back in and whilst still slow it did eventually complete. It’s quite a big patch x

Cancel the update. Remove your mods folder, if you haven't already. Delete the localthumbcachefile. Reboot your computer and try again.
  • mine finally worked im now waiting on my modders to fix broken mods, so they can break again come Friday lol
