How many children do you have in your family?

I play rotationally, so it's different type of families. The most I've ever had is 4, but 2-3 is more common. Some families have just 1 child. I don't think any couple has 0 children*, but I do have sims who never get any children.

*without planning to get any

It usually depends on the family I play, I like playing with family oriented sims, so they usually end up having 3+ children. Majority of my other sims don't ever have kids or just 1 or max 2.

Currently the largest family in my game is my vampire Werner, his human wife Leslie, their adopted daughter (now teen) and then their 4 vampire kids (one is now teen and the rest are children). I totally feel you having 3 toddlers at the same time is very stressfull XD I actually had to stop playing this family for a while when the kids were toddlers as I was loosing my nerves :D The kids were crying all the time, when I called nanny to help, they did nothing and stood there. I was seriously considering taking the father and leaving the family XD But he wouldn't do that, so after a few weeks I calmed down and returned back to the family and raised the toddlers... Well, I am very happy that they are all children now, but since they are vampires I can only go to the park with them during the evening/night which kinda sucks, but somehow other human kids are there even at night :D I always wonder how can their families let them roam alone at night XD I wish there was a mod that would force some kind of curfew for npc children to appear at night and being seen out and about during school hours...

Anyway, I think raising big families is a lot of a challenge and only certain sims are up for the challenge... I would never be able to play the 100 baby challenge voluntarily XD

For a very long time I’ve played big families because I kept wanting to see what the next kid could look like. But I don’t really enjoy playing households with more than 5 sims, and I would end up with 5 kids and 2 parents and it was such chaos I never really got into the personalities of each child, developed their friendships or things like that.

So lately I’ve been playing families with 2 kids, and I like that number. I might let some families have 3 kids but I doubt they’ll have more than that. And I say that as the 4th kid of my own family, oh well! lol

I just feel a lot more invested in their lives when I can take the time to focus on them more.

I have mc command center and my sims can do the deed autonomously so I roll with it. I also can have more than 8 sims in a household. The biggest household in my rotational game has 16 kids. Some of the kids were born to the mother via different fathers and some were born via different mothers by the father and then they have a couple of their own. Most kids are adults, married and have kids of their own. This household has some relation to at least half of the sims across all the worlds.

Generally I only have 1-3 in this edition. Sometimes more if it takes longer to get the needed gender, but generally only 1-3. In Sims 2 I had really large families, regularly going for the 10 kids want or more!

I prefer just one child, two at most. Having more than that and I will never get attached to them. And Im liking the attachment to my Sims.

Usually only one or two. I did end up with triplets once. And there was one family that had 6 kids in 4 pregnancies without the fertile trait. That was the family that convinced me to never, ever try the 100 baby challenge, because I found no enjoyment in having 2 kids and 4 toddlers at the same time, even if it was only for a couple of weeks in-game.

3 children in my family. They started out as triplets and I aged one to child and one to teen so I'd have a child in each age group. I've play with aging off and have been playing this family for over two years so plenty of time to get to know them and have them form meaningful relationships with friends and other family members.

Since I play rotationally, I have families with anywhere from 1-6 kids (though now I just had an idea to make a single parent with 7 kids lol) but for my main family that I seriously play, build skills with, and always explore new expansion pack features and really work to keep their relationship and jobs on track, I just have two kids, a toddler and a child. Honestly playing with more just feels overwhelming. I even had too many pets for them at one point so to get rid of them without deleting them, I moved them around to other families in manage worlds and pretended my family had just been fostering them lol. It’s fun that they can still visit the pets but now own them. Anyway I got off topic - I don’t enjoy playing with more than 2-3 kids, especially if one is a toddler. And honestly if I’m playing with a toddler, I use cheats constantly because they are just so emotional and needy and usually I’d rather not spend all my game play tending to a toddler. Don’t get me wrong, I love toddlers and actually add them to families often, but playing them without cheats is a drag

I play rotationally so I have a lot of different families. 2 households with a toddler, 2 with just a baby, a few with just one teen, a few with a teen and a child, a couple of families with one child. I have several couples still without any children, teens, babies, or toddlers. And I have one family with 2 teens, 2 children, and a baby. And i do have a family where a young adult sister is raising her teen and child siblings, and another household where a grandmother is raising her child granddaughter.
