- GwastenMica7 years agoSeasoned ScoutI had to go back through all my notes to figure out the answer to this question. From my memory I know I started with a single female in Oasis Springs who married ? Porciones. He became a National Leader (politics) and she was in Investments (business). I wish I could remember their names. I didn't know they would become my favorite family! One of their twin sons married a townie who became a famous author. Either he or his son achieved Space Ranger status in the astronaut career. About that time I moved the family to Newcrest. Since then there have been at least 26 generations. Many of the descendants have worked in the science career and an Electroflux Wormhole Generator is stationed on the property right next to the Apollo Rocket, courtesy of Gene Porciones (Generation 14) whose gravestone is on Sixam.

I'm asking as I'm considering starting afresh with two families who will feud with each other.
It's really personal preference! Like I mentioned earlier, this has always been how I play. Other people don't and enjoy creating sims and starting fresh with them.
As far as multiple households, I have always, until the past few weeks, played one household only. Each generation I would pick an heir or heiress, and move the spares out forever. Only recently I wanted to play through two scenarios, so I play my "official" house for 7 sim days, and then my other house for 7 sim days, and so on. I turned aging off for everyone except the active house so neither will age while i'm playing the other, and I don't lose any time :)- I'm on generation 26 of my Braxton family legacy. I used to play with ageing on and an average lifespan from December 2014 to June 2015. In that time, I went through 13 generations! Since then, with ageing off, I have enjoyed spending more time with my legacy sims developing them and forming great relationships especially as teens and young adults. I also have ALOT of gay couples in the legacy and had to continue the bloodline by creating children of them in CAS. The introduction of and option for male pregnancy, although unconventional I'll concede, makes my gameplay easier and much more enriching.
- Unbeknownst to me I just did a quick rundown on my sims family tree and evidently, I am apparently on Gen 7 preparing to go to gen 8.
- HillyPlays7 years agoSeasoned AceIgnore this one. Oops!
- HillyPlays7 years agoSeasoned AceWith six kids in fourth generation- two sons and a daughter for one child, two daughters and a son for the other child, the number of children in fifth generation is slowly growing. Here's what I posted in two other posts earlier.

Fifth generation of my save is growing as A.J. Parker and his wife Imani Gupta are finally expecting(a baby boy), as are Hadley Parker and her husband Jamal Pettit(a baby girl). He's the brother of a sim I was hoping to have Finely Parker marry, but she's already a young adult and married to someone else.
So far, fifth generation is as follows:
Justin McAdams
Katie-Grace McAdams
Baby Boy Parker
Baby Girl Pettit
Apparently I've been spelling their last name wrong all this time!
Sadly, Evie Delgato-McAdams passed away a little while ago. Here's the family tree. "calaprfy;c-16779947" wrote:
I find it fun! Yes, eventually you’ll need to put them into multiple households to keep everything going but it’s still really fun thinking of plots and storylines!

I'm asking as I'm considering starting afresh with two families who will feud with each other.- I have played 11 generations of the J. Huntington family and have been on the same save since I bought the game. I've played so long that there are only a handful of sims in my town with the last name Hungtinton but most either spring from or married into that family line. I will play it until it corrupts which, hopefully, will be never.
- I am on my 4th generation, but I don't play one family but many. There are also some male Sims who have many kids with different ladies, I currently play around 250ish Sims. At the moment I try to age up 73 kids of 4th gen and let them marry each other ? I do use Excel to stay on track who is related and who is not.
- My Leonhart family has/had 17 generations (I say "had" because I've put them on pause and continued with another family called Blackbriar). I started that first Leonhart generation back when the game released. Like, the whole The Sims 4 game release, so it's been from the start.
I found that I hated the way family trees work in the game because they don't give enough detail and it gets messy, as well as when it gets to a point where there's a lot of generations, the older ones disappear. I don't know if they've fixed this by now or not, I haven't checked.
I just started making my own family tree at a website called familyecho.com. It is very, very complicated and super long, but you can put images and birthday dates, partners and everything on it so it's super detailed and clear.
But yeah, my furthest is 17 generations.
