I'm not really very fond of how elders are done in this game so sometimes I play them and sometimes I "make" them using adult sims. I do this because not all elders are as infirm as the game itself portrays them. The back grabbing, hunch and low needs sometimes gets to me and does not seem in character for every older person. Some older people can run rings around their younger counterparts so it really just depends on how I want them to be when I play them.
In my current save based on Stardew Valley characters I have 3 true game elders and they are a little harder to play. One is a gardener and will be pretty central in learning about the new seasons gardening stuff for me.. at least anything flower related, her husband is a writer because I can't put him in wheelchair.. and I want him to stay closer to home. One is the "Mayor" although really he just socializes and gardens a little in my game so far.. and has a girlfriend. I have spent quite a bit of time playing them.
The rest that I think of as elders or at least a little older than what I see adults as being I made in CAS. I have 4 characters like this that I'm rotating playing. They have face lines and sometimes gray or graying hair .. but that depends.
I play with aging off though and I'm more concerned with my sims having the type of character I want them to be and doing what makes sense for them to do... at any age.
