How much do you edit your born in game sims?

I don't technically edit them, what I do instead is use Play with Genetics in CAS, set the new sim to "teenager" and randomize until I get a version that I like (usually the one that looks the most like the parents' average). Then I make the new sim a toddler and take them into the game.

I only go through pregnancy if I want to get surprised what occult state gets passed down or with aliens (because I have set MCCC to custom rules for hybrids and full aliens) or when I'm in a challenge save.
