- keene61New SpectatorThey just don't appeal to me at all, but I normally do like to play occult sims. I didn't like them in other Sims games, either.
- Sigzy_29New SpectatorThey don't have any interesting features on TS4.

Same. I just don't like the way they look.- HermitgirlNew SpectatorI played with them on release around the challenge time.. then later I tried a story around one. You use to have to cheat for awhile to do it.. and that basically stopped me from trying them out again. Now you can become a plantsim if you jump through a few hoops .. have a sim reach level ten gardening to buy the rare seeds and buy the stump, grow the magic tree.. then proceed. I might try it again soon, the addition of spellcasters has made me way more interested in playing out a fantasy world now.
They could use a revamp or some more magical way to start out that's not wholly dependent on knowing how to do it. - For those not interested...
If there was an update to them (their look/some more unique interactions) would you become interested? Or are you not interested in this particular kind of life state at all? Just curious. - GrumpyGlowfishSeasoned NewcomerI downloaded custom skins and hair to make plant sims look more like their TS2 counterparts, but don't actually use them all that much because there's nothing special about them. One of my StrangerVille families consists only of plant sims, and I made up a story about them being the Mother's elite minions, but I have yet to actually play with them. Does anyone else have problems with plant sims randomly changing their hair styles, by the way? Because that's yet another reason I don't use them a lot.
- HermitgirlNew SpectatorI haven't played them in a long time.. so if this has changed I'd like to know but I was put off by the one hairstyle they had.. and actually the green skin could be a more attractive green or have some variation. I don't use cc or mods (not opposed just to lazy to update and unwilling to go down that rabbithole). More interactions would be nice for sure and something that makes all this seem more .. magical somehow? I wish I had a better suggestion for doing this.
- I played one once on accident (I was trying to cheat a vampire from attacking me and misclicked on makeintoaplatsim). I was playing in San Myshuno at the time and found it really annoying to manage their needs. I doubt I'd play them again as they are now.
- I love plantsims but TS4 did them dirty. I wish they made them permanent lifestate. I don't play with them bcs making them eat that fruit every 5 days to keep them as plantsims is too much of a bother for me.
- I can recall only three times I played with them in all my simming:
A nature enthusiast family in Sims 2 had two sims turned into plantsims, but I didn't continue the tradition, because they felt too cheaty.
Then a plantsim-only asylum challenge, also in Sims 2, which was really interesting, because on free will plantsims can screw themselves over as much as human sims, only in different ways.
And one of my Rooftop farm workers in Sims 4 ate the forbidden fruit once, but only for completitions sake.
Idk, I like the concept, but the gameplay never appealed to me. Perhaps they would be more fun if their alien-ness was better developed, like being able to root and uproot themselves similarly to Patchy.
