How to convince parents getting you Get Together for Christmas?

On a serious note: I don't really have any advice, I don't know your parents. Are they the type to change their minds with more info on the game? Or are they pretty set when they say their not getting something? Also, is it something they can/will spend the money on? It is kind of pricey, and if they don't know the value of games, they may not see it as worth it.

Convince her, do the chores, try and hint at times, tell her that people her age play the sims, don't shout or be mean to her

My mom is the type of parent that will change her mind with more info, which is why I asked for some points of how I should persuade her. Also, I think if I can buy her enough that the game won't effect my grades, attitude, etc. She won't see why not that she should just buy me the game for Christmas.

You've in basically the same predicament as I am! Thanks for the tips everyone.

(1) Provide them with a presentation of cost-benefit analysis as to why you should have the game (2) Utilize PowerPoint if you have the software (3) End said presentation by reminding them that you could be an alcoholic or drug addict but instead you Sim.

Sims 4 Get Together is coming out soon, December 8 I believe. I know for sure I won't be getting the game release night, but I really REALLY REALLY want Get Together! Christmas is basically my best bet because my birthday is in April and I'm broke from buying gifts for my family and friends.

I can help you to ease your mom into letting you play video games. There is a particular group of PC video games that are learning tools. They teach you how to look for certain items in a clutter of items, and they also teach you how to solve puzzles as well. These PC video games are called Hidden Objects/ Adventure games. They cost anywhere from $10 to $20 at Walmart or Target stores. These should help you in getting your mom to buy you GT for Christmas. Because once she see those games, and learns that they are learning tools. Then she's likely to lighten up, and buy you GT for Christmas.

Just asked your mom to buy it for you for Christmas. It also help if you do chores,have good grades,and are on your best behavior.

Hmm I think I mostly just asked my parents (dad would say no or pitch in if I had half the money or something though, or if it interfered with my studies he could take it away until I did my homework lol , my brother would help me get games sometimes because our parents had us do a contract if we borrowed money for something from each other ... he owed me a lot of money) though I was the weirdo in school that would pick up loose change on the ground... surprising how much you can pick up lol.

Tell her that you particularly want that game for Christmas then she'd think about prioritizing it over the others.
Also, tell her that "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Just as she invests in your education she should ensure you're able to enjoy your free time as well so you don't spend it seeking fun elsewhere on drugs, smoking, etc.
After all, you have one childhood to enjoy and if she doesn't let you play games now....then later on you will live out your childhood in your adult years and she will have to take care of you (mentally) then.

But anyway, earnestly tell her how you feel. (I've had most of my successes coming from honesty. That and excellent grades and good conduct both at home and school sealed the deal.) If she asks if it's an educational game, tell her not quite. Not everything in this world might be labelled as educational but many things can certainly teach you good values nonetheless. And 'educational' is not a tag that always needs to be attached to something fun. Fun is fun. And Sims is wholesome fun.

My mom said she was going to get me cats and dogs for xmas but she didn't and when I asked her about it today she said, "sometimes you don't get everything on ur xmas list" but she said she would get it for me and its on sale i need it
