How to make Sims 4 run better on a laptop??

In settings under graphics, there’s a box “play in laptop mode” or something similar. Do you have that one checked?

Some things to try, but they're not guaranteed to help:

• repair your game
  
• delete cache files
  
• empty your screenshot folder
  
• remove extra saves from your saves folder (if you have a bunch of saves that you no longer play -- move them to another folder)
  
• add the simulation lag fix mod
  

You could also check your game settings, that you don't have it set to high details and reflections.

thank you everyone! it did help a bit to put it on laptop mode and stuff but i think im just gonna get a smaller laptop for school and stick to sims on my desktop.

I play on a MacBook and I noticed the more objects I have on a lot the more laggy it becomes. My most laggy household is the one that has the most cluttered house (and the one with the most cc as well).
