- crocobauraSeasoned AceOne full year is a full cycle through the seasons. I suppose you could have them be born whenever next season is, but given the limited lifespan, and that a pregnancy is 3 days, then I guess a full year equals to 4 sim days.

In order to make that work, I guess I would have to have seasons last only a week. I might give that a try. Would involve I make charts to keep track, though. I suppose I would have to do that anyway. Yikes. Thanks for your input! - moppy14wSeasoned NewcomerI play with a custom age span for each stage where seven days = one year. Pregnancy is extended to four days (and often goes for five). University takes a minimum of three years.
Seasons are seven days, which doesn’t truly fit, but I make it work. There holidays are set so that approximately two days is a month.
So the answer to your question would depend how far apart in age they were. Seven days to a year. If they were three years apart (like my RL brother and I), approx 21 days.
I just read that your Sims are one year apart. So anything from five to nine days. - SweetieWright_84New SpectatorIf I want a sim to be slightly older than another, I usually go with 7 days between them. It depends on how much of an age gap I want but I mainly do this for my sims' love interests. With siblings, I rarely bother with the aging and let them age naturally.
- CybersbeSeasoned NewcomerThis discussion is making me wish The Sims 4 had an Epic option for age length, like the Sims 3.

I play on Long. So if I change seasons from 14 days to just 7, maybe cycling through all four might work. I'm just worried I can only take one Teen through high school at a time. This is really messing with my play-style. LOL
Can you see the panic in my typing? :open_mouth: - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

I play on Long, but really barely had a baby born, when another one was on the way. LOL I know, I know. I really was more careful with the iteration of Erik Cantrell in one of the saves prior to the one I'm playing now. Oi! Pregnancy in my game is still three days. Babies are babies for six days. I would have to go into MCCC knowing exactly how long each life stage is, and adjust things while in Normal, then switch to Long. (I think that's how we're supposed to do it.) I know we can't adjust while on Long. Tried it and it doesn't work, so I have just left it to Long. I wish they had given us EPIC. I used that setting in Sims3, adjusting the length for each life style below Teen. I know I gave my YAs a bit more time and if memory serves I added time to the Elders. - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

Oh, I had hoped for that so hard. I always played on Epic in Sims 3. Can't quite recall how many days I gave each life stage, but I certainly altered them. At least we do have Long. "GalacticGal;d-1001181" wrote:

I play on a very extended age span with 14 day seasons. I only recently lost my legacy founders but that was because I actually had to take a break from playing when my PC tower got sent out for a repair. I started a save on March 16 and my PC was shocked in a lightning storm on April 12. Here's my age span:
Elder: 150
Adult: 150
Young Adult: 150
Teen: 112
Child: 112
Toddler: 56
Infant: 56*
*I only recently changed the infant life-stage to 56, but have another household to play during that time. LOL!
ETA: I also have 12 day pregnancies, but with the realistic birth mod labor and delivery is fast
