How to stop Mayor Whiskers climbing on worktops?

Hello EveryoneHope you are well.  Mayor Whiskers recently moved into my Sim's house?  I adore the cat, but he keeps climbing on worktops and licking out bowls.  How do I stop him from doing this?There is an option to "scold" for doing something wrong, but is that what you're supposed to do?Thank youJoe

Yes to correct their behavior, you have to scold them, but make sure you do some friendly interactions with them afterward to counteract the negative loss in the relationship.  Depending on the animal's traits, some will take longer to learn not to do certain undesirable things.

You may have to scold more than once to get him to learn that behavior is wrong.
