How to Stop Royalties?

I think my game is bugged in the sense that my sim is on an infinite payroll for royalties. Are there any cheats to actually stop the payments?

I’ve tried moving the sim out of the household and bringing him back in. It’s only with this specific sim as my other sims have had their payment stop.

Any help would be appreciated. I’m even open to mods that can do this. Not sure if MC Command Center can achieve what I’m after.
  • The royalties gets lower as time goes by and your book gets outdated
  • Gosh, I'm never in favor of curtailing the royalties. LOL In fact, I was so distressed that my Sim lost all 13 albums and the seven songs he wrote, hence no royalties coming in, that I rolled back to an earlier save when these things were still intact. Problem was I removed the Mods folder to patch, and after I thought I had dragged it back into the Sims4 folder, it turned out to be empty. I unwittingly played the game for a bit and of course saved the progress, which was the clincher. If you save a game without the needed mod it can remove stuff the mod gives. OOFFDDAA. Had I only noticed earlier the mod wasn't where it was supposed to be. Oh, well, all's well that ends well. Happily, I found the copied Mods folder with all mods accounted for. Phew!

As for stopping the royalties, eventually they stop on their own, at least with the songs. You can only license a song once a week. If you're talking about songs, once the royalties stop, just don't license it again or any other song and voilà problem solved.
  • What kind of royalties are they? Book royalties will stop after some time. License music (guitar, piano, violin, lyrics) only last for a week and you can license them again.

Royalties from songs made and published with the Mix Master Music Station don't end. I'm not too sure, but I think video game and app royalties don't end either.
  • Thanks for all your responses. I guess I should’ve specified that I’m only having this issue with songs made from the Master Music Station.

@NightlyCoffee they’re royalties from the Master Music Station so I think you’re right. I played for 21 sim days and saw that my sim just got royalties everyday.

I was hoping it was a bug.
