How to uninstall an EP*****Answered*****

Every time I reinstall my Sims 4 game, if I unchecked a pack from being installed the next time I log back into Origin to play my game it auto starts DL that pack anyway. Do I have a setting done wrong that would make sure that pack did not install when I log back in again?

I do want to make sure I can still get updates, just keep a pack uninstalled if I dont want to use it. How does that work? I must have something set wrong.

Turning off auto update doesn't affect whether you can or can't patch your game. I'm quite sure I've had it turned off for ages. When I load origin in online mode and there's a patch I simply click update and it downloads the patch. The only way you won't get updates at all is when your origin client is offline.

James Turner has something on his website for disabling packs. I've heard it works well but never used it myself

Thank you so much, I appreciate that and will look and see if I can use anything they have down. Thank you very much!

Can't you get a refund of the game?

You can't get refunds for packs. For base game you can get refunds if you bought the game either 1) Less than 2 weeks prior but never loaded it to play or 2) less than 24 hours ago if you have played it. For the extra packs you can only get a refund if they were purchased as part of a package with the base game and you are returning the base game according to the above. If purchased seperate they are non-refundable no matter when purchased.
  • I really dont want an actual refund, I just want to uninstall or disable it until they fix the bugs and make it work right. That's the only reason Im even asking lol, I really wanted to do stuff with it, but for me its ruining my game, especially since even tho I have all of it disabled in gameplay menu, it still lets Sims vote and stuff, and when that's not even working right I want it gone at least until they finally fix it.
  • Thank you all of you, I really appreciate your help and trying to help. I just want to be able to play it without it ruining my game, lol. Thanks much

TBH I don't think they are gonna fix it.

I agree, if they were going to i think they would have. Its sad too, it could have been fun. Im glad some are able to enjoy it, i dont know why I have so many issues, but I know many others do too. I've always bought all packs as they came out, bc I couldnt wait, even for ones I wasn't as excited about. But, I wont buy any more packs, nust want to enjoy what I have at least.
  • Thank yall so very much!!! My Sim can even drink now with it completing!!! Now to see if she can finally watch a movie! Thank you so much!!!!!!
