I got a warning, can someone help me figure out why?

When ever I add a new pack to the game, I always save each household to my library. It's been something I have been doing since Sims 3 after EA's story progression moved out a few of my favorite sims. I do this in case something happens, and I want to add a certain sim back into the game. Normally this is not an issue, but I ran into a warning when I saved Vlad, from Forgotten Hollow.

This is what the warning said,

Warning: A family Name, Sim Name, or Description currently contains a disallowed word. You will not have the ability to later upload this Household to the Gallery. Do you want to proceed?

I never changed his name or the description that EA added. When I read over the description I didn't see any words that looked like they were bad or anything.

  • It's probably just some ridiculous word that has nothing wrong with it, just like some words here are plummed out for no apparent reason.

Since you are only saving to your library and not uploading to the gallery I wouldn't worry about it.
  • I had that happen to me once. I saved a family to my library and one of my Sims had a "disallowed word" in her name. I can't remember the name off the top of my head now but you can still save the family to your library for later use,you just can't upload them to the gallery for people to download :)
  • Ive recently received this as well when I created a new family
Ive tweaked names and surnames but cant figure out what can be causing offence
I don't save to the public gallery so I'm just ignoring the message
    oh well
  • What was the full name and household description. If you post it here and one of the words turns into "plum", then you'll know which word it is.
  • The name is
    Vladislaus Straud

    The description
Count Vladislaus Straud IV is the latest descendant to occupy Straud Manor. His oddly similar looking line of ancestors has resided here since the founding of Forgotten Hollow.

(This is from the Sim Wiki site)
  • Hmm the word laus in his name is german and means Lice(like head lice) but i dont think that it caused that.
    Strange
  • @SimGuruDrake could this be looked at maybe? I can't see anything here that would cause a problem either.
  • Try removing "count", it may be seen as a tweaked version of that other word. That's my best bet.

That gallery censor is really good about teaching english swearwords, b.t.w. Early into Sims 4 I learned that the german word for "totally, fully, whole, complete, not broken" is spelled the same as an obscure english word related to nosy behaviour while using a public urinal. Eventually I found it in an urban dictionary and could not stopp laughing that there existed a word for that particular action.
  • @LaBlue0314 I may be way off but here is just a speculation as I do not know but can only speculate. I have noticed on the Gallery people love to take EA's wonderful creations and share them on there as if they were their own; perhaps EA has taken note and just doesn't want people to do this with their vampire, Vladislaus Straud.
