I have never had a baby in The Sims 4

Woohoo does not get sims pregnant. You have to Try For Baby. I don't believe there are any chimes like in Sims 3 but if a sim is potentially pregnant you can click the toilet and have them take a pregnancy test.

Haha! My husband was watching and asked if they could take a pregnancy test! Okay, thank you. I'll try that. What a great game!

You're welcome. love the addition of the pregnancy test to TS4. Much more realistic than magically spinning around to maternity clothes.

There are Risky Woohoo mods you can get with different percentages. I have 3% in my game and one of my sims found out she's pregnant from that today. I got a weird feeling she should take a pregnancy test, turns out that weird feeling was right!

Plus you know right away. In 3 it took about a day for the signs to show.

So what should I expect? She has to have the baby at home? Or can she go to the hospital?

She can either go to the hospital (I think only if you have the Get to Work pack, though) or at home. Either way, you'll get a cute crib automatically, and then you just have to watch the baby's needs. It can't leave the crib, so it's very easy!

the baby will cry, it will still need to be fed cuddles and have her his diaper changed. don't let them cry for long or you may or may not get notification that if you don't take care of the baby the social worker will take it away. and you can't get them back. have fun.

The baby will come more quickly if you buy the bassinet beforehand & click on it the moment she goes into labor. I think the hospital also speeds up delivery a bit (I can't be sure though, I've never been patient enough to fully wait out the labor), it makes it more interesting at least.

I like going to the hospital, I have GTW, but I used to send preggo to the hospital before. I like the idea of an actual birth instead of the baby appearing by magic.
