really dislikes the calendar.. It wasn't a problem when I could delete the events on it but now with get famous I can't delete those events.. >:) only to have my sims get a awful event moodlet.. it should be my choice whether I use the calendar or not. >:)

@CrazyboutTheSims You can still delete and customize any and all holidays. The events from GF aren't active unless you choose to go to them, so you shouldn't be getting an awful event moodlet if you chose NOT to go to the events.If you aren't able to delete the actual holidays, something is wrong on your end.

I quite liked the calendar at first, but I'm finding the game events a bit tedious.I've found it good though for planning weddings in advance. Could also work on hens and bucks nights, baby showers etc etc.

@Stormkeep I've no idea! I can't figure it out since I don't decorate anywhere. The game just does it by itself even though I deleted all the holidays now. I tried to put a deco box on the lot but it wouldn't let me do anything because I don't own the lot! I suppose I could go around to every commercial lot I have, make them residential, and send a sim around to remove everything? It just looks awful.

Sounds more like a glitch as you shouldn't get any awful holiday noodles and the only events that appear on GF are the talent show and accolade awards which you can just ignore as there is no check list.With season holidays I add no decorations to the holiday and they don't show up on neighbor homes.

There's no awful event moodlet from not attending an event on the Calendar. Maybe you're confusing it with the awful holiday one? But all the holidays are cancellable.. so I'm not entirely sure what issue this topic is addressing.

@Stormkeep I DO have it switched off for no decorations. I could attempt a repair game I suppose. I don't have any script mods currently and haven't since the recent patch.

@Crazyboutthesims, those are the events we're telling you do not cause negative moodlets. They have no affect at all if you do not go to the actual location to participate. You can safely ignore them, you also should not get an alert telling you they are coming up...so if you don't open the calendar, you won't even realize they are going on (except the occasional friend calling and asking if you want to go to one.)

Ok thanks I'll see what happens since the first one is today and if they get the awful event then I will do a game repair.
