Kind of a random topic, not sure where to post this but I really miss when sims used to get woken up by noises. In 3 if a sim started playing the guitar, or turned the tv or stereo on in a room where your sim was sleeping they'd wake up and start complaining about their sleep being disrupted by loud noise. It was pretty funny to go around the rooms playing guitar in the middle of the night and waking everyone up.Now in 4, if you do the same thing they don't even respond to it or acknowledge it. Sims are completely oblivious to the impromptu performance of "Weeby Weeby Woo" happening directly next to their bed at 2am even when it's combined with a sim playing the guitar and rock blaring through the speakers at full volume.It's just little things like that that make a big difference, it's so fun to just be able to create some chaos in the middle of the night, it's just weird to have absolutely no reaction :s

I’ve noticed that mine can’t go to sleep when there’s music playing nearby. I thought it was a glitch at first.

Have them live in one of those apartments in CL where their neighbors party and wake them while they are sleeping ..... lol..... I tried knocking on the neighbors door to get them to stop, but I guess they were too busy partying because they never came to the door like they were supposed to, so I could ask them to stop.The blaring speakers should wake them I would think, though I notice computers no longer do.

I haven't paid attention lately but my sims use to get woken up by noises especially dogs and radios all the time. Don't know if it's changed lately.

Instruments used to wake sims up. I have few screenshots where the little sister did it on purpose to her siblings. I think it works for sleeping sims, but not for napping ones? My sims taking naps do not wake up from TV, stereo or violin. Haven't tried it on sleeping ones lately, though.

I put stereos in every room in the house and I'd be the type of person who would wall off hallways and closets just so I can add stereos without waking Sims up. I find it amusing how you can have hundreds of stereos blasting in a closet right next to your Sim's bed and they don't care but have one stereo on the other side of the room and they're up and about.I miss heavy and light sleeper from Sims 3, that being said. :POh by the way, I really want Sims to react being woken up, rather than just Lazy people getting an angry moodlet. I think it works for some things? I have sims that fall asleep with the radio on and aren't woken up by the radio turning on. If it was on the lullaby station, I'd understand, but it's usually a regular station that should definitely wake them up. They also don't wake up to the TV, either.

But I also have sims that wake up when a baby or toddler cries near them. They ignore the baby or toddler completely and it's annoying, but it still wakes them up.

I've also had sims wake up when someone farts near them.

I haven't tried with instruments yet. I think that some things wake them up, but they don't acknowledge it. I wish there was some kind of animation for it.

True, but I wish they get like, a more intense and longer-lasting angry moodlet while other Sims just get a typical grumpy one from being woken up early.

Same. Which is why I only add a stereo for specific situations.
