I need help staging a proposal

Originally I was going to keep the news of this proposal in my Under The Tartosan Sun story a secret until the next episode dropped. But I'm too excited that Danielle and Londyn are engaged. Londyn proposed while I was playing Liberty and Matteo's household. I got a game generated phone call from Danielle asking Liberty what she should do. There was only one answer and as soon as I told her to say yes, I instantly jumped over to Danielle and Londyn but the proposal was already done, and accepted. So I obviously have to go to my alternate save for the story and stage the proposal so I can take screenshots. I have a backup save for situations like this, where I can go back and act out scenes that happened off camera that I want shots of for the story.

The problem I have is, after 24 hours I'm no closer to making up my mind on where to stage it. I have a few ideas, but I want to do this right. Those of you who have been following along with the story know all about their bond and how deeply in love they are. They deserve something really special. This is just the proposal, the wedding is going to be another episode altogether, sometime in the near future. What I have them wear will depend on the setting most likely. For those who aren't familiar with the couple in question here they are. There are a couple of pictures under the spoiler that show them in places that are special to them, the beach in Tartosa and Celebrazioni D'Amore also in Tartosa. Both have spots have featured in some memorable shots from the story.

So I turn to you for help in making a special, and memorable night for my two most favorite sims. Where should Londyn take Danielle to propose?

  • I think Sulani is so beautiful. I would temporarily put the two in the same household ( if you don’t already have them together ) and add a level 5 photographer to the household temporarily, especially if you have the Moschino stuff pack ), set up some camera’s at different spots. Maybe even try to get a picture at the waterfall. For weddings I think it is also nice to have a high level painter paint their picture by adding the painter to the household temporarily too. I like my sims to have pictures in their home. I play rotational, and I like teens and children to have pictures of their best friends and then together too. Get to work came in very useful for that. Now Moschino stuff works for that too.
I have photo spots set up indoors and outdoor for this purpose.
  • I had Erik propose to Kayleigh at the Red Dragon restaurant I found in the Gallery and placed into Del Sol Valley. The had dinner there, again, on their way to their honeymoon. I think the place where your couple had that romantic caress would be perfect.
  • @SheriSim57 Funny you should mention having a level 5 photographer, I have one. She's the one getting proposed to.? I never thought about doing it that way and having a picture to put on the wall. That is perfect, and I will have to give that some serious thought. I really like the idea. I just wish you could get more than one sim to behave and do as they're told, I could have everybody waiting in the wings and when Londyn leads Danielle to the spot the others could move into position. That's in a perfect world, god alone knows where everybody would be at that moment in this game. It is an idea I love and I'm going to try to make that happen.

@GalacticGal I didn't put a restaurant in DSV but I did put a jewelry store there, where Ward park used to be. I'm going to have Summer, maybe others, tag along with Londyn to go pick out the engagement ring and I want to take some pictures for the story. That reminds me I need to get Londyn together with her friends to discuss what she's planning before that. This is one of those moments where I wish I had created some family members for them. I may do that, but a lot has happened and family members haven't been mentioned so it would be a bit odd if all of a sudden Danielle and Londyn's parents materialize out of thin air. I have a lot of details to arrange. God I sound like I'm setting up a real proposal and wedding.? You know how it is, especially if you are a storyteller, you bond with your sims through their story. These two in particular really grabbed me and pulled me in.

  • Other: Londyn takes Danielle to a place from Danielle's childhood that is special and proposes there.

That's an idea that never occurred to me.? I've been thinking about their backstories after my reply to @GalacticGal and trying to piece together how to bring Danielle's so far nonexistent family into the story. Even if I don't go with that as a spot for the proposal it's giving me ideas for working Danielle's family in.
  • I want to thank everyone who gave their input, you all had such wonderful ideas. I thought it over and my heart agrees with the majority, it feels right to have Londyn propose at what has become 'their spot'. So many wonderful things have happened to them on that beach it should all come full circle with the proposal and quite possibly the wedding as well.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this. I have a few more details to work out and then I will get busy making this episode.
  • Take them back to where it all started. Maybe under a beautiful full moon at the water's edge?

Edit: You already made your decision. This is what I get for not letting public opinion influence me. Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter. :)
  • I think a proposal on the beach would be very romantic. Especially since that is where the sims met, and probably holds a special memory in their hearts ?

Maybe the proposal could take place there, then they could relax on the beach together, watching the sunset?
