Last three comments above? all one and the same.
I wouldn't actually suggest it because once you start building happiness buffs and it snowballs, the happiness buffs will overpower all important moods like inspiration, genius and what not. say you research art and get mentored in writing skills, so that is +3 inspiration, you got two +2 happiness buffs due to making a new friend and having a new partner, those happiness buffs will continue to overpower those other moods, even if your sim isn't in very happy mood, so you are stuck not being able to trigger skill increases from very happy or the correct mood buffs.
i often find it can be more trouble than it is worth at times, as you either got to go all in one happiness or all in on your preferred mood and that means prodding your sim into a very angry mood rather than enraged.
There is no easy way to overpower the happiness buffs when they snowball to such amounts, even if you work out the most moodlet buffs the best you can until some happiness bufs wear off to the point the main moodlet overtakes.
It only happened so rarely with this mod, usually only after a new marriage or newborn baby. But to each their own I guess.
You misunderstand, it isn't an opinion on the subject by "each to their own". I have gotten 5 points into energized yesterday on one of my sims at the Skye Gym, but had 6 points into happiness and the happiness overrode the energized buffs completely for several hours.
build those happiness buffs up when you have lots of points invested into moods first, and i'd ask you to go try it out several times and the results will be the same, the happiness will override any other moods.
