If the game is free, fine, ads would be a necessary evil.
I rather not have ads because Loading ads could Lag gameplay and may add to loading times.- EA isn't poor, they don't need ad money

EA isn't dumb, they don't deny money ;)
Yep loading ads is an issue, and also you have no control on what gets in the game if you sell add space you will see all the quality adds from the web and broken code and hacking etc. Also you have to ensure the player does watch the ads so you can ask money from the companies, needs an observer function etc. etc.
So add spaces no. But simlish ads why not. Only there is so much better stuff you can make with the time than simlish ads that get repetitive fast anyway.
They did it already thou buy adding branded stuff packs or items."Nelus;c-16454429" wrote:

They already have a history of making questionable decisions that end up costing them money. Adding advertisements to a game that people already paid for would be the exact kind of underhanded, reputation-damaging move that would add to that list and lose them customers in the long run."Cupid;c-16454433" wrote:

Where people get these types of Ideas I don't know. If I brought a game with ads in it I would call it spyware. I would do more than boycott. I would go back to school and go get two year programming degree from a community college.- Ingame ads would most likely come with mandatory online play to keep the ads up to date. And they'd have to use different ones for the different geograpical regions (no sense in advertising something to a player in a country where something isn't even shipped to or where it is much cheaper to buy the local equivalent instead of ordering in the US), what would further complicate the matter.
What I'm okay with are the product placement type of advertisments like the aformentioned Ikea, H&M and the infamous Katy Perry pack. The items go into the catalogue with players retaining full control over what they want to place in there games and when.
