I'm building a Royal Estate - (merged with "what kind of rooms are in yours?")

Barracks for soldiers, along with mess hall (eating area), kitchen, and exercise/training yard; dungeon in lowest levels of basement, food storage - as in for 6 months or so, you would need CC if it exists, but means of defense, again a CC thing - but stables for horses, at least one well in the yard, outside graveyard - only the most notable get to be in the crypt, some sort of defensive outer wall with fortified gate. Yes, am thinking along historical lines. My own castle building has been confined to TS2 on the largest lots available.
