I was going to build one but I bailed out after doing some of it  might keep to mansion sizes and maybe one day when my build skills are up to it I'll finally have windenburg island as medieval hot spot
rooms id hope to include once i get to it:
• Banquet hall where your sims may entertain their highly esteemed guests and soldiers after the battle
• Ballroom where they may have royal balls is a must have
•Throne room where they can hold court
receive commoners on special days to hear their requests
• Study where they may discuss war strategy, have a friendly game of chess and write important correspondence
•Servants hallways, stairs, quarters where servants may move around house and live without bothering their masters or the guests, including craft rooms to fix/ craft things they need and kitchen ofcourse maybe a mini servants library so servants that can read could polish their skills
•winecellar
•vault room/s
•collection room
• hidden escape route and routes to fastly send soldiers in when there is emergency
•fancy set of stairs to go upstairs to assert dominance
•living quarters for royal family probably somewhere upstairs where they may just live in peace (make sure servants can move around to serve their meals and clean the rooms etc may include room for the butler that is higher level servant and should always be available)
• plenty of guest rooms dressing rooms bedrooms bathrooms hobby rooms tea room dining hall...fancy library....perhaps a nursery for royal spawn and room for their servants
•balconies to chat up knights in shining and less shining armors
•fancy gardens perhaps a labyrinth
• armory for the weapons
•soldiers quarters with gym/ fight training and swordfight training rooms
• torture and questioning rooms
• jail for treasonous sims
•a place of well deserved death
•witches tower
• room for a dragon or 2
•a graveyard or such
