You likely have these, but ideas came to mind yesterday on room possibilities: library - large enough for at least 1 long table with chairs and several stuffed living room type chairs (love seat/sofa optional). parlour/sitting room - your family looks rich enough to have at least 2, similar in function but differing in decor, one for the ladies to chat about lady things (the new tea set would go well here) and one for the guys to chat about guy things, often over brandy and cigars. A room where folks go to play cards, chess, and the like, not sure if the dartboard would go here as Austen doesn't mention one, or whether it has its own name or is simply the living room. TS4 lets us down here, but a billiards room, primarily the haunt of the guys. Allied with the bedroom, the master and mistress of the house each get a dressing room. Bathrooms and water closets are separate entities, being next to each other is optional, but each is its own room. If you have the space, the master and mistress each have their own set.
Thanks for great input again, I really got some nice pictures on my mind. I especially like the sitting rooms, but it will probably be modernized a bit as my royals are in 2022 and not in Austen's era. So, boys and girls will not separate (as if the game would care at all). I'll try to organize as if there used to be two such rooms, but maybe they got slightly different usage over time, suc h as a newspaper room and a cross stitching room, might be more or less the same as sitting rooms. Now, there are no newspapers to read in this game, and sims can just pull up their cell phones, but hey ho. The rooms will be for the private 3rd floor that I have not started yet. 2nd floor is nearly done, with pics to be posted this weekend.
Also for the bathroom/wc, I imagine they were separated before, but - like of modern times - it was found more functional to have them combined. Either way, I won't focus a lot on toilet routines. In such a large estate I will need to cheat some of their needs because the walking distances are too big (taking 2 hrs to walk back and for to your favorite toilet?) I's much prefer spending that time on other activities :)
