- Gamer_Cat244 years agoNew TravelerI have multiple Sims I play on each save file that I have. I have at least one family living in most of the worlds, except when I don't have a plan for the world yet in another save file.
I didn't touch Magnolia Promenade for months, but recently I downloaded a mall from the Gallery, which had theaters and a lot of thing to do. So now it gets used a whole lot more than before.
I don't play Britechester, but I have a family living there in one save file. I plan to get some of my teens in a good position, before moving them there in my other save files.
I usually have a family in Brindleton Bay, but haven't really played it, but I heard that you have an option of getting a ghost pet near the museum, so I plan to have my families visit there more.
Strangerville doesn't really get touched, not because I hate it, but because I want to make specific Sims to explore it. I kind of want to create Sims based on Scooby Doo characters, or even Harry Potter ones to investigate the mystery.
Out of the destination worlds I have, Granite falls will probably be visited less, because out of the three I like the other two slightly better.
I don't build, but I downloaded houses and museums, and other stuff for Newcrest to build up my population.
Some plans I have for one save file may not be used in another save file I do, I want to start another save file with a lot of spooky/haunted stuff there. I do have a haunted museum placed in Willow creek. - I feel like from the get go in sims you're either a Willow Creek or Oasis Springs person. I definitely am Willow Creek and therefore no matter how many other worlds I have collected along the years, Oasis Springs and the environment of it is still one I don't use and never will.
I also feel like Strangerville is a bit of a novelty after a while, however love the story and have played multiple times. - I try to split my saves/households between all of the worlds, but the ones I use the least are Del Sol Valley, Magnolia Promenade and Britechester. Del Sol Valley is just boring to me, even my superstar celebrity sims never live there because there's no point in having one famous sim live there with his/her non-famous family who then get ridiculed for not being famous (with the Celebrity Home lot trait). I haven't played much with the store owning system so I haven't been to Magnolia Promenade all that often. Britechester is also boring, I also don't like playing the university lots because I can't send my sims in one household, but instead, we're limited to only playing one sim, a massive downgrade from TS2&3. XP
Edit: Completely forgot about Evergreen Harbour, played there once, but lost interest pretty quickly. I like the theming of the world, I just find it too annoying and again slightly boring. Also sucks that you can't edit the balcony's in the apartments. - Probably Glimmerbrook, Batuu, Strangerville, Magnolia Promenade, or Forgotten Hollow. I don’t play occults super often so I rarely use Glimmerbrook and Forgotten Hollow. I’m probably going to add some occults to my rotation eventually so that might change. I bought Batuu on sale for some of the build stuff and the hairs and have never taken a sim there. Strangerville is beautiful but I haven’t gotten around to actually having a sim solve the mystery so I never have anyone live there, but maybe one day I will. And I never have my sims visit retail stores so I rarely use Magnolia Promenade unless I replace them with something else.
I also rarely have sims live in Newcrest but I use it for community lots so they do visit there quite often. - atreya334 years agoLegendDel Sol Valley, I don't like that world at all. 3 lots in a neighbourhood is not enough to make it useful. I also really don't like the look of the world.
Close runner ups are magnolia promenade and forgotten Hollow. But I made a starter save for myself and added useful lots that give me a reason to visit these places. - Newcrest
it's still absolutely empty in my game, and it's just not an interesting world for me to build in, so I never use it. - Magnolia Promenade, Forgotten Hollow and Glimmerbrook for me.

I wish they would make the vacation worlds liveable. I love Salvadorado
This is likely the main reason I don’t visit destination worlds is because of its near lack of visibility on the worlds screen. I basically forget they exist. If all worlds could be on the same screen and we could live or vacation wherever we’d like that’d be great.
Aside from destination worlds, Magnolia Promenade doesn’t get much use in my game, and even less so Batuu because the SW pack was only worth the build and buy items for me once it went on sale. But I don’t consider Batuu a world since it doesn’t function like one, so MP I guess. - amapola764 years agoSeasoned AceIt's hard to say. I do have one favorite spellcaster sim in my rotation who lives in Glimmerbrook, but otherwise I haven't touched it. The world is a disappointment, and it's hard to say why, although I think it has something to do with the disconnect between the style of the B/B objects and the style of the town. It just doesn't fit together. Plus the existing houses need a LOT of work to fix, and I just haven't been in the mood. Also, the bar needs to either be bulldozed or massively altered, but with only one commercial lot, I'm not really sure what to do with it. I wanted a potion shop, but it seems weird for that to be the only business in town, so I may eventually make it a combined general store with both potions and other crafted items, including food, as well as community social space.
Del Sol Valley I definitely felt needed to be larger, but I've made some substantial changes, and have sort of made it work for me, but I haven't been really into it lately. I do enjoy playing a couple of households there occasionally, though. I could say almost exactly the same thing for Forgotten Hollow.
I spend a fair bit of time in Britechester on an ongoing basis, but only when playing university students; otherwise I haven't messed with the town at all.
I spent a decent amount of in Evergreen Harbor and Strangerville when the packs released, but I don't play there as much now, although I do have some ideas for down the road.
I definitely spend the most time in Brindleton Bay, Windenburg, Willow Creek, Newcrest, San Myshuno, and Oasis Springs. That's where my favorite households live.
This is reminding me that part of my issue with not having larger worlds is not just the total number of lots, it's the way the space is used. Obviously everyone's needs vary, but I just don't feel like the team always makes the best use of the space given, even if we accept that there are technical limitations on how big of a world we get. So then if the world feels awkward, and things aren't in the right spot... yes, there might be lots that I have never used, but since they are not the right size/shape/location for what I want to do with them, that means I still don't have enough lots for what I have planned. Which, to bring it back to this thread, means that it becomes a lot less enjoyable to play in that world. - luvalphvle4 years agoRising HotshotWell, since I totally forgot Magnolia Promenade was a thing until reading responses here, probably that one.
