How many other people miss getting the incoming phone calls because the mobile phone does not have a ring tone any more and you no longer get a ringing icon on the sim , but just on the phone icon at the bottom left of the screen , where it is no longer in direct vision .I have lost track of the number of times i have spotted it is ringing only to cancel the sims interactions and they do not answer it in time before it stops ringing

It rings initially. Only once, and you have a bit of time to answer it if you catch it. I for one, however, don't miss anything. My Sims haven't answered their phones ever since the base game of S1 and a little bit for the base game of S2. I also don't answer the phone in RL. I hate them with a passion. So, in a way, I'm glad it only rings once instead of constantly like it did in S2, which I wound up modding.

I've made this suggestion in other threads. I hope you don't mind if I repeat it.Given that the phone only rings once, it would be nice if whoever was calling left a message. Capture that Caller ID. Leave a voicemail or text message, I don't care. Just give my Sim a way to know who called (and why) and have the option to call/text back.Edit:typo

yea, im with u on that one.
plus it rings only once and stops very short after.
its less personal, if it makes any sense..

plus the phone looks weird! its big enough to be a smartphone but looks very old and lame..

and another thing that bugs me - who are they calling when travelling?
they always pick up the phone and dial right before they travel and im like who are u calling?!
there are no taxies and no limo's, what a tease..

you sound like our son lol. were the only ones who phone him, all his friends text him.
I always miss the phone in this game, I just never hear it.

I've made this suggestion in other threads. I hope you don't mind if I repeat it.

Given that the phone only rings once, it would be nice if whoever was calling left a message. Capture that Caller ID. Leave a voicemail or text message, I don't care. Just give my Sim a way to know who called (and why) and have the option to call/text back.

I think it's nice. It was a pain in the butt when the phone kept ringing in the Sims 3. In the Sims 4 it's so quick I don't even notice it most of the time.

I always miss the phone in this game, I just never hear it.

I resisted the text phenomenon for quite sometime, unless I realized that after my nights of partying it was much more considerate to "juiced up" texting" rather than "juiced up" dialing. :p

I get calls all the time. The only time I don't is when my phone is on "silence" mode or I first move in.

I do kind of miss the wall phones, not to mention the random calls that would come in during Sims 1 - especially the ones that gave money! Haha. The constant ringing in Sims 3 got on my nerves badly enough that I ended up silencing all of their phones.
