Need some information on caring for infants when other Sims are not at home.
Specifically, I now have a teenager who is raising her baby brother. I'm wondering when she goes off to school (and I follow her, at least some days) what the best course of action might be.
I'm thinking the options are A ) infant gets sent to automatic "daycare" (which is free and I think potentially unreliable??) or B ) hire a nanny
- which is more realistic in the situation of a 17 year old with a dependent?
- which is the better in game mechanic? (thinking safety of the child not being taken by child services, milestones, ease of care when teen caregiver returns home..)
- is there an option C?
Daycare. The nannies are a tad weird in that they tend to hang around, call your kid and invite them over to their place. Huge ick factor to me. Even my Rock Star and his wife utilize Daycare. At least now their older kids can take care of the toddler while the parents are gone.
