Is anyone else excited about the LGBT Pride content coming this month?

I am very happy for the LGBTQ community. What I love about the Sims is how everyone can express themselves freely without facing any discrimination, and people of all races, sexualities, etc can be represented. In the gaming community especially, there are very few as inclusive and wholesome as the Sims franchise. Makes me proud to be a simmer

I'm actively avoiding the drama here and not getting into any of the debates here. I have opinions, but I'm only on these forums to have fun and talk about Sims. But I though I'd express my views on the gender-neutral washroom, to see if I can sort of clear things up for anyone wondering about them.

I feel like they're probably not for cis gay sims. It's more likely aimed at the non-binary/agender/whatever audience. Like it's to show that they don't have to conform to the two-gender system and pick a side, especially one they don't feel like they identify with. There are also trans sims, and I'm sure there have been enough news stories to explain why. Kind of pointless in a game where you gender-neutral bathrooms are the default and you already choose how things are handled, but it's the thought that counts.

Exactly. Everyone who has an issue with LGBTQ+ should have stayed out of this thread in the first place and then we could have discussed more interesting things like whether this content is at all meaningful or this is merely a publicity stunt without a true message.

Anyway, I think the flags are neat, though it’s annoying that they forgot the lesbian flag.

I don't remember. Did the Sims games have a neutral bathroom? I've seen the girl/boy doors, but I can't remember if there is one with neither? I thought there was a blank door somewhere?

Lol, I would love one of those fantasy-themed ones with the mermaids, pirates, centaurs, fairies, etc. The mermaid one would have been appropriate for Island Living and the fairy/dragon/centaur ones for Realm of Magic (or a fantasy/fairy pack or something). Here's an example of a fantasy one: Mermaid/centaur
