Is botanist an active career?

https://i.imgur.com/s9rOAiD.pngIn the new trailer there's a scene where it looks like some sims are doing botanist work. It's on a lot in Oasis Springs, so it isn't active like in GTW, but how do you think it works? A semi-active career like City Living? I can't wait to learn more about this.

I can't wait to learn more about this.This video is throwing all my plans out of whack.  :p I'd planned to start with the flower arranging career now I'm wanting to start with botanist. I hope it's more like the CL careers and you can choose to work from home and go out on assignments.

If it's like the CL careers I hope the assignments are a bit more varied and make more sense.

Maybe they just set that lot up for the trailer..? I want to smell a red herring in here...

However it would be more than preferable if the career was more like GTW or CL, especially being an active career since we haven't had one of those since GTW. And no, being a Vet doesn't really count.
