Is create a world ever coming for ts4?

I have been enjoying a lot more playing sims 4 after university and some new things that came BUT i love to build, make stories and create a stories about the buildings and the world it self. We got different type of worlds and that is greit but i love build different styled houses/community lots and there is not always space to add that build since it doesn't fit the rest of the world.. if i want to remake any world ts4 has i have to build same styled houses so that they would fit the rest of the world. It's so annoying
Honestly it would be a dream come true if the sims 4 would have same kind of create a world that the sims 2 had whit many options and possibilities.
Also they could even add "world traits", same style like lot traits. There could be world traits like "helpfull neigbours" , "greeting whit a kiss on a cheek", "expensive realestate"etc.
Honestly i would be okay whit anykind of create a world as long as it's coming.. i hope it's coming..
Has sims gurus said anything about this resently?

If Create a World is possible within the game's base Engine (as apparently they've clearly said Open Worlds doesn't work with the game's engine and can't be made to do so), and if they were to provide us with a Create a World tool, I'd actually expect it to be among the last, if not the last expansions before they switched to TS5... assuming that they anticipated a 6 month or more delay between the end of TS4 and the release of TS5. Or if there is no TS5.

Basically I'd expect it to be a "farewell" expansion pack to the Sims 4 community. "Hey guys, we're not supporting this game with new worlds any more, so here's a tool to make your own for just US$40 to tide you over until TS5 is ready and we start this dance over again."

And I'd expect we wouldn't be able to build large worlds, just neighborhood sized ones like Forgotten Hollow or Glimmerbrook. And no editing existing worlds either.

But realistically, I don't expect to see such a thing at all. I expect that if possible, it may be a feature in TS5, which will roll out within 2-3 months of the last TS4 expansion... whenever that is.

There is clearly a create a world since they create new neighborhoods. All it is is a design tool to build world's and has literally nothing to do with the engine or open worlds.

Perhaps possible was the wrong world. Let's go with "If an End User controlled Create-A-World tool is feasable within the game's base engine." Because I think the tools they use to create neighborhoods and worlds are a bit more complicated than a glorified Build mode.
  • I hate lot traits as they're usually so "cheaty" and very different from their names, but if done differently than Maxis does, it could be interesting. I'd want "grimier" things and more negatives, but also for them not to overpower. A world should be able to have different neighborhoods of different vibes. Sadly, they'd probably be happy, shiny world traits. :persevere: :mask:

Thought I was the only one that didn't like the map design in TS4! Bought the game and near immediately went back to TS3 mostly because of it. Been playing 4 again as 3 stopped working, apparently a common problem with MacBook Pros? But yeah lots of things are really cool about TS4 but this and the lack of open worlds in the same way let the game down imo :(

If up-to-date Macs are already incompatible with 32 bit programs, then wait until early 2020 for a TS3 Mac fix, I'm not sure if that is your problem but it seems like it to me at first guess. o:) You might want to check the TS3 section here for info or updates or even ask for help. <3
