I think the trait is fine as is, because real jealous people are honestly that "crazy". If it wasn't inappropriate to share, I would share some personal experiences I had with an ex boyfriend.
It's nice to finally have a trait that seriously matters. In my opinion though we need a jealousy "emotion" too, not just the trait.
It's possible to be envious of someone or jealous without being considered to have a "jealous" personality. It's an "emotion" that plenty of people feel a few times in their life.
What would have been even better would be if we had the personality "slider" back so we could decide how jealous a person is instead of going 0 to 100, but that's never going to happen in this game.
