So I have a dumpster diver name Jaxson. I thought it would be a fun idea to have him have Judith Ward as a woohoo partner but she said no at first. After a few more romantic actions, they did the deed and he asked her to be his girlfriend. I thought once he finished his goals, I would have him move into her house and start with another dumpster diver. Well the other day while Jaxon was dumpster diving along comes Judith and asks him to marry her! I have never had an npc ask one of my sims to marry them before the entire time I have played the sims 4. Has this happened to other people or has it been happening and it's a first for me? I didn't know npc's could do that. Sorry for the blurry pictures, I resized them so they wouldn't take up so much room in the post. The first picture of them is at a festival while they were dating. @MMz023 Yup came right up to him did an impression (for some reason) and then I got a pop up message saying Judith is proposing. I didn't even have control over his answer. The next message said they were engaged and I got a picture of them kissing afterwards. I have never had that happened. Maybe it started with the high school pack. It was funny since she asked him right near a dumpster. LOL

Normally you can say answer yes or no. Sounds like a glitch.

Are you sure it's a patch to base game? I don't own HSY and I've never had sims propose changes in relationship status in person. Not best friend, not significant other, not engaged, not anything.

I have had Greg ask my sim to be best friends, and soon after he asked her to be a girlfriend. They had a bit of a falling out, so did not propose, but I could see it possible. The only thing I don't like about the best friends option is that if you say no then the relationship takes a big negative impact and you have to apologize.

Ok, that scares me that autonomous proposals can happen if you don't specifically choose. I am a micro-manager. Too much stress! :D

I've had a sim get engaged to an NPC boyfriend because he asked her father's permission over the phone (NS), but I've never had any sims propose autonomously in person. Not even active characters. That's weird.
