Is it possible to cheat Strangerville mistery with UI cheats?
I've just recently noticed that Strangerville world has this western vibe that i personally love so much! But im not interested in the mistery at all. So im thinking that i would only get it if there'...
If you don't want to use mods, there are ways to speed through the mystery pretty quickly. (The aspiration doesn't have any effect on it; it's just a way to get satisfaction points.)
1) Cheat a Sim to be high up in the military with level 10 programming and the Incredibly Friendly trait. (Or have the Celebrity perk that lets them be instant friends upon introduction.) 2) Download the USB device evidence from the gallery. 3) Also download a whole lot of spore clusters from the gallery. (I believe you need 60. You'll need Bizarre Fruit, too, but that's easy to buy in bulk at the Curio shop.)
You need to explore the lab door to start the story, but you can leave right afterwards. A Sim with maxed Programming skill can go from the USB Device right to the dossier. Get the Key Card the usual way. Use it to poke around the lab. (This activates the next part of the story.) Find a low-ranked military person and "pull rank" to get them to give you the scanner. Ignore the scanner and fill your inventory with the spore clusters from the gallery. Use the spore clusters to make the Spore Profile Data in the lab's basement. Find a scientist to give you the Spore Filter, which lets you get the hazmat suit from the Curio shop. Go to the lab to work on the vaccine. The easiest person to test it on is yourself, so eat a bizarre fruit, wander around a bit, then come back and perfect the vaccine. Cure 3 people, recruit them, and make sure you make a few extra vaccines to throw at the Mother Plant during the final fight.
This is the shortest way I've done it. There might be other shortcuts you can take here, too, I'm just not sure what events have to take place for the story to advance. I keep meaning to upload an ideal "Strangerville" Sim and all the aforementioned items in a single room; I just keep not getting around to it. ^_^;;
