Is it possible to go to school/work while vacationing?

I haven't tried it myself and I like to know before wasting their vacation days but is it possible for instance child/teen to go to work while in Selvadorada or Granite Falls (or any vacation world)? The mother is a travelling type and an archaeologist (and unemployed) so she is travelling all over but she just adopted a child and I want to take the kid with her but there is schooling and vacation days to consider.

    I don’t think so, but if you have seasons you could add a bunch of holidays with days off from school/work. I’ve done this to create a summer vacation for my Sim kids, I just add one easy tradition each day/holiday, and select “none” for decoration theme.

    I have vague memories of experimenting with this.

    I think you can have them go to school/work, but they'll return to their home lot rather than the rental, so you have to have them rejoin the vacation every time.

    But it's been ages since I played with it I'm not sure.

    Yeah, when I want to send my sims off without worrying about work or school, I make holidays ( with no work and no school). But you do have to make the holidays a few days in advance I think. I don’t think I even add a tradition. @DaWaterRat .... yeah I used to do this before Seasons for my sim who was trying to master herbalism. Just brought her husband and kids over after work and school.
