- ReflectedLite5 years agoRising HotshotThat's odd. It would seem "nap" should be just as effective as "sleeping" to replenish energy (same rate of energy/time), but meant to only last so long - a shorter timer. To put a sim to "sleep" for the same time and manually wake them up to compensate for the poor energy replenish rate of taking a nap makes taking a "nap" a useless feature (except for 'disco nap' it seems).
- PhantasmKiss5 years agoSeasoned AceI use napping strategically because of the energized buff Sims get when they wake up. Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be a point. So why are you napping on the porch instead of sleeping in your bed you silly Sim?!

I did an experiment once where I let a household run on just autonomy alone--what I found is that they will rarely sleep on their own, they'll just take naps. The end result was that they were always tired, and so they were always taking naps
It's been my experience that naps are more likely during the day. They tend to sleep if it's nighttime and they're sleepy. - simkitten875 years agoNew Acetired sims still prefer to nap instead of sleep. if i catch them napping i usually make them go to actual sleep.
- Unless your sims are on a lot without beds, napping is an inefficient way to regain energy. There’s no point.
Compared to going to bed for a night’s sleep it should be a quicker process, and maybe more effective over a short span of time, but I guess the developers didn’t consider that. - RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned Ace.....
