Is there a way to get your pet to meow less?

Yea, I think the traits make a difference.

You could of course try the Freeze Ray, but it would stop the meowing completely, besides it would be less cozy cuddling with the kitten on the coach ;)

@Simmerville Traits are updated in original message. It's not talkative. I also do a good job of talking to my pet, playing with it and other things. So, I don't think its related to that, and his icon at bottom left has not been orange bit once and that was a while ago, it was actually green not long ago. Cats have always been very talkative in my game, so I don't know if it's a bug, or just the way the game is designed. He does not constantly talk, but it is often enough to be unrealistic and sometimes a bit annoying.

Sounds like you enjoy the pets, so I'm sure you already provided enough toys for the cat. Maybe the playful trait demands some more access to toys? I also wonder if the house has platforms, but if it was any routing issue, there might be a thought bubble above the kitten's head. I don't play pets enough to help, sorry. Let's hope it grows out of the habit :)

@Simmerville Yea, it just adulted, I hope the meowing slows, and I did not think to buy any items such as furniture for the cat, I mean other than bed, food bowl of course. And I pay attention to the thought bubbles, and it's not a routing issue, actually rarely are there though bubbles one is of the toilet. So, I'm guessing the spoilt trait has the cat unsatisfied with the quality and cost of my cheap toilet. Haha.
I have a question hope I'm not bothering you, but do you know how to post items from your gallery in a discussion or a new discussion post. I want to share some of mine on here but haven't the slightest idea where to begin. I imagine you would have to visit the online gallery by that I mean the website not the gallery on Xbox.

Sorry, I rarely use the gallery so I would not know. That said, I never ever saw anyone linking visually to their gallery uploads, so it makes me think it is not possible...

accessible litter box, food, cat tree, attention from sims, taking them to vet when needed will mostly keep your sim pet happy

but they can have obsessions and fears for things such as fire tv or music which might result in more cat sounds

they can beg for food and wake sims up etc misbehaviors that ofcourse comes up as additional cat sounds

also sometimes they yowl with hearts to announce they want partner

that if something is noisy cat sounds

and some pet traits might result in louder cats meanwhile others in less loud cats

if your sims can do something about the meowing theres usually option to ask "what's wrong?"

not much can do pet sims 4 are clingy

My Sims family has a cat and it's very vocal, I don't think the traits have much to do with it. The cat is independent, curious and free spirit. Since adopting him as a kitten, it's just been vocal lol.
