Is there a way to turn off those annoying NAPs?

Am finding those things to be of no positive value whatsoever, rather an annoyance that makes playing the game more difficult. At best they are stupid and useless (like wearing paper bags). Is there...

Also with cheats enabled, if you shift-click on the mailbox you can instantly enact ones that you don’t mind so much/will be less intrusive on your gameplay — so as well as getting rid of the ones you don’t want, you can replace them with ones that you don’t mind. I do this a lot.
