Is Vlad Bloodvein the younger version of the Vlad that ships with the game?

I consider him to be a totally different person. I have added the vampire nobles to my save game. I prefer them over the vampires that are shipped with the game, perhaps because they feel more old fashioned and aristocratic. They moved in with Vladislaus Straud and share the house which is big enough for several vampires if you count the beds and coffins.

Elle De Vampiro and inna cents are not younger or different versions of existing sims so I never considered Vlad Bloodvein to be. Vlad Bloodvein looks like a tragic, sad figure who has lost the ability to enjoy life. He kind of reminds me of the movie 'interview with a vampire'. Vladislaus Straud is more Creepy and seems to enjoy being a vampire. That is how I see them at least. I don't know if this is exactly how the devs intended them.

But I did give Vlad Bloodvein a different first name so I don't confuse him with Vladislaus Straud

Ahh! Great to know other people were thinking about the Vlads. I was thinking about adding Vlad, Inna, and Elle as well as Markus and Kat from the Rebellious Vampires household on the gallery to Straud Manor. Vlad and Inna can have the master, Elle in the purple room. Vladislaus can have the nice coffin and Markus and Kat can have the other two coffins. Meanwhile I'll add Miss Hell and the 3 sims in the Virtuous Vampires household to the not in world bin for the game to use as walk-bys because they have a more "normal" appearance, and hope the game doesn't spawn any random ones. Apparently the game doesn't use housed vamps for walk-bys?

Also, I'm imagining that "Vlad" is the kind of "heir" to Vladislaus in the vamp world, which is why he has that name.

Yeah, like Vladislaus was about to bite and devour Vlad but then saw a bit of himself in him and so turned him instead and raised him as his playboy heir. (Vlad is romantic)

Isn't Vladislous Straud actually Vladislous Straus VIII? This other Vlad could be an ancestor.

Yes - he is number IV, so the one in the gallery could easily be an ancestor.

I always assumed that Vlad the 4th was also Vlad the 1st-3rd. He fakes his death every so often and then establishes himself as his own descendent, to allay suspicions about his undead nature.
