Should they just add everything to the game for free? Because I don’t see how you add anything to the game without “commodifying culture” since the game itself is based on Western European/North American culture and everyone paid for that, and it’s not like they haven’t added and aren’t continuing to add different cultural representations in free updates pretty frequently. We just got those gorgeous Korean wedding ensembles for free, we got an entire collection of Chinese New Year items for free, there were some traditional Indian clothing items we got for free, they’ve added multiple recipes from different cultures for free, Afro textured hairs have been added for free, it would be nice to see some items and clothing from different countries across the African continent too. We had a free update of Latin inspired items like that cool grill, and recipes and the pergola and more. We got some Middle Eastern inspired items and Islamic attire for free when they updated stairs. But I don’t see the harm in also selling some of those items especially in kits that are fairly affordable giving those who complain about the added diversity to opt out if they want to also. I enjoy the added diversity and I love getting free stuff as much as everyone does but if this game and future iterations are to be supported they have to make money as well, and I don’t mind paying for things I enjoy either.
