Least Favorite or Worst Aspiration?
Curious what others' experiences are because I've just been having a hard time with one this past month.
I've been working on the next part in my Sims 4 series, which covers Spa Day, and I've just been completely stuck on the Self-Care Specialist aspiration. If you haven't heard of it, it essentially involves you performing wellness services to customers like massages and getting paid for it.
Thing is, the whole procedure just seems really buggy and is not at all viable in terms of making money. My Sims can get through one customer with no issues, but everything after that just freezes up. Customers will stand around idling on their phone, waiting for a turn, while the player's Sim will freeze up like the simulation is lagging or something. You know, when they start getting all stiff and bob their heads in a random direction?
Turns out, you can offer a paid service to random townies without them asking first. That's cool, but sometimes the interaction will just never play. They'll just continue to do idle chit-chat. If you do manage to get a customer on the table, there is a chance it'll cancel itself in favor of someone else asking or something happening on the lot. Be careful of that.
One of the goals is to maintain a regular customer and provide services to them 10 times. Sounds easy enough if you can get past all of what I mentioned above, but the game never tells you how many times you've provided services to a regular customer. Instead of "0/10", it's "0/1", so you have to keep track of it yourself. There's also a cooldown to take into account that, from what I've heard, is about 18 hours? Unless you have a mod to check these hidden buffs, you'll have to keep track of these things yourself as well.
I'm still stuck on the regular customer goal as I type this out, but it's just been really tedious. The reward itself is just so ehhh... from what I can assume? More money from wellness services sounds good if that's what you plan on doing for a living, but compared to other freelance activities, the bugs just hold it back from being a viable or even fun option.
Sorry about that huge rant, but what's an aspiration that you couldn't stand when you played it? Whether it's boring, tedious, buggy, the reward sucks, or all of the above. Rant your heart out about it!
