Well, that's exactly how it worked in TS2. I don't remember if your initial alignment reflected that of the witch who turned you, or if you always started out as neutral, but after that it was entirely up to you. Studying and practising light magic => good witch; studying and practising dark magic => evil witch. Every spell you cast would give you magic points of the corresponding alignment and make you more good or more bad.
I feel like they should leave alignments out of it. Just because My sim uses dark magic, Doesn't make him Evil.
My Sorcerer is a Good Sorcerer, and He is well versed in both Light and Dark Magic.
He could be a little mischievous, from time to time but not really evil.
I just don't want to be annoyed by notifications, or if the Good/Neutral/Evil alingment bar is in the Simology panel, I don't want to see it constantly shift, or get a notification because I used dark magic, or light magic.
Y'know just because I used dark magic to wipe my best friends memory of his Ex-girfriend. my intentions were good, maybe the heart break was too heavy.
ripping out a heart, this is a very dark spell, but it can be used for good, even to save another's life.
And we already Have Good and Evil traits, as dull as they are, they should expand on those.
