- Are you playing with NPC ageing on? Because maybe turn it off?
That community lot obviously chose its staff a few generations ago, and you've played long enough that those former Young Adults have aged into Elders from the sounds of things. The game isn't going to replace them until it needs to, which means when they die.
Also, it's kind of realistic, for TS4's reputation as a Millennial Simulator. Retirement? HA! Not in our lifetimes. - I love playing with aging on For everybody unless I send a prime Sim to Uni or am just exploring the features of a new pack.
I mean, I’m not against the employment of oldsters. I just wish the game would automatically retire them before they’re on the death bed so they’re not always two seconds away from a perish that ruins my hot date ??
I also feel like NPC hit the big box more rapidly than played Sims. Like if I have a YA that buys a restaurant and hires a YA chef, that chef is as good as dead within a week or so! - DoloresGrey6 years agoSeasoned AceRight? Elders should be retired. 90% NPC employees should be young adults and adults.
- texxx786 years agoSeasoned AceSometimes npc keep their jobs even after death  i had this save once where almost all npc jobs where being done by ghosts.
- Bad luck ...i guess? Never happend to me.
- crocobaura6 years agoLegendI have aging turned off in my game and there are quite a lot of NPC employees who are elderly. None has died yet though.
- Smellincoffee6 years agoSeasoned AceYou're not playing at Jim Pickens' restaurant, are you? The only thing on the menu is known to kill people.
More seriously, I see this happen on ocassion -- but I sometimes have nonplayed sim aged on, my teens have people to date. - @chazzzy LOL “foist”? It’s a good one to have in the holster!
I completely forgot about this issue until I sent a Sim to the spa yesterday and the place was littered in urns, to a horrifying and disturbing level ??? - SimmerGeorge6 years agoSeasoned AceWell once you start a save everyone's lifespan is at the beginning of the life stage and everyone ages at the same rate. That means a bunch of Sims will be aging at the same time eventually reaching the elder stage at the same time and all dying around the same period (since elders don't all live the same amount of days).
This is why sometimes you might have a ton of sims dying at once. - I've never had this happen. I know I've played with aging off before! I guess not long enough.
