- Sigzy_295 years agoLegendIn TS3 you could place a desk under the bed perfectly with a computer and everything. Kind of a shame we can't in 4. Though it can be a bug.
- alexspoom135 years agoSeasoned AceThe patch notes do say they're not done working on the bunk beds. So hopefully we'll see improvements next month. :)

I'm quite pleased they gave us the basics now and let us know that they are still working on them. I think they've done a great job so far and look forward to more! - wildirishbanshee5 years agoSeasoned AceYou can place anything under them with MOO as long as it does not cover that middle tile and both the object and bed will be useable. So single tile items only for now.
- JanuaryGarnet085 years agoSeasoned AceYou can place objects under loft beds. You need the move objects cheat on, then you can place single tile items under the bed as long as you place them in the tile directly under the pillow. You can also place deco items only in the tile directly under the feet. Placing objects other than another single bed or toddler bed in the center tile under the loft bed will cancel routing to both the bed ladder and the object you place.
- Single tile desks
- chairs
- toys/toyboxes
- the activity table
- the large stuffed animals
All work under the tile under the pillow. Things like plants, lamps, sculptures, and other deco items will work in the tile under the feet. Desks and chairs will not route in the tile under the feet. Also make sure chairs face out into the room and not toward the ladder when you place them because this also messes up the routing. - Single tile desks
- I was able to place Peacemaker’s 2 tile console underneath the loft bed and hung the Gone to Work tv over it. Also placed the books from Tiny Living on the console. Sims were able to watch tv and read while another sim was using the upper bunk. It was cute for a little home or apartment. It is too bad about MOO, many players will not download builds with it having to be activated.
- It's in the patch notes :)
For this first iteration of Bunk Beds, placement of other objects beyond single beds will not be supported. But for those of you who want to experiment, we’re excited to see what kind of creative things you come up with from leveraging the MOO cheat!

Yeay! More stuff that will be improved at a later point but was released before being finished for what reason exactly? - JanuaryGarnet085 years agoSeasoned Ace

Because they literally couldn’t make an announcement or release dlc without a bunch of all caps shouting:
“WTF!?!? Where are bunk beds!?!?”
“Who asked for this? Where are bunk beds?”
“Simmers: we want bunk beds! Devs: here’s _____!”
“We didn’t ask for _____, we want freaking bunk beds!”
And on, and on, and on...so now the bunk beds are here, they’re a little rough around the edges and now the same crowd that threw themselves on the ground banging their fists and kicking their feet aren’t happy still because “they aren’t finished”, “they should’ve been in base game”, “they should have been included in ____.”
I’m guessing they’ve been working on these for a fairly long time, and likely would’ve liked a couple more months to perfect them but they were beginning to face a choice between that and being boiled alive, so there you go. I’m pretty sure it’s no simple feat to blend the climbing animation with a brand new animation-crawling, and the climbing under the covers animation and make it as smooth and seamless as it is. But, no surprise still not good enough for many. I for one am enjoying them even in their slightly rough hewn state, and will accept the challenge of design with them and figuring out exactly what I can stuff under a loft bed and have everything still work and accept that over time they will ultimately improve. Because I am *gasp* grateful for the time and talent the devs contribute to the game, and I do absolutely believe they really are trying to listen and give us the things we want to see. I fully accept that these things take time, as they explained in detail in the live stream, due to the need in some cases to have support technology to make them work. If all of this makes me a “boot licker” and an “apologist” then so be it. I LOVE THE SIMS 4, and I don’t apologize for that. - SimmerGeorge5 years agoSeasoned Ace

@Pamtastic72 It's not like they had a knife to their throat and needed to release immediately to avoid getting killed. People were requesting them in the comments which they can ignore as they have done for years now. They were not forced by anyone and as a major company they should know better than to release a new feature while claiming "its not finished though". Then just finish it and then release or did you just want to see if people would be mad that it's lackluster before putting in more effort?"Pamtastic72;c-17841440" wrote:

Wow! A new animation! Meanwhile previous Sims games were so loaded with animations even for little easter eggs not a lot of people would see. But it's so crazy that a huuuuuge company with a massive amount of budget made one new animation.
