Longevity of Ts4. Give us a bunch of editors to expand ts4

Ts4 is definitely coming to an end. Perhaps 2021 will be the last year. I won’t be surprised if ts5 is announced this year.

It is fine. It has a long life but please before putting ts4 to rest, release a bunch of editors for the players to continuously expand the game post ts4 era.

We already have a calendar editor and club editor. Why not release an aspiration editor, trait editor, career editor, social event editor and world editor too so that any players can expand ts4 and share them on the gallery. Imagine if you can just download a new aspiration with detailed story like strangerville and a new career to go with the story.

I understand they would not have released such tools earlier since they want to make money off DLC. But please once ts4 is rested please give us the tools. That’s be awesome !
  • Great idea, although I know I would be hopelessly confused by such tools. I attempted to learn CAW, but that was a disaster. Once I heard my gaming rig start doing a hideous grinding noise whenever I tried to use CAW, I aborted my attempts and uninstalled the program. :open_mouth: Would that they had given us templates for neighborhoods as they did in Sims2. I created my own neighborhood and never played the other ones after that.

Like I said before, we will never get a Create a World tool just because EA knows that a new world coming with an expansion pack is one of the main reasons why people buy the expansion packs in the first place. They give us a tool to make our own worlds and they'd never see a penny in profit again.

I don't know, it doesn't seem to be coming to an end to me. We're about to get a new emotion patched in and there's still a lot of popular requests that haven't been fulfilled. I think it will go through into next year.
  • My game is generally free of major bugs now. Still some minor ones but compared to ts3 it is much much better.
  • Yea the club system. Remember in ts3 there are 3 fixed clubs from University. This is a significant upgrade where we can edit and create any club :) Same with holidays (the calendar system).
  • Editors for a broken game... no thanks. If the game was polished enough, yeah, editors will be a nice addition. Not the case, so no, thanks. It makes no sense.
  • I have a lot of mods with interesting aspirations , traits and social events. I really enjoy ts4 with these mods. So if we had official editors we would get some creative content from the community to make ts4 even better !
  • Hence release the tools after ts4 has been rested. Really hope they will do that.
  • I hope they fix all the bugs and then give us tools, especially top edit the worlds. There is so much open space that we could build on if given the ability to.
