We have a lot of packs for Sims 4 but most are very shallow and full of surface level content that it really doesn't seem like much at all. A part of me wants Sims 5 in hopes that it could be better, but the other part looks at my Sims 4 game and wonders where all the content is. I have nearly all the packs yet sometimes it feels so empty that I start thinking well no way it can end just yet. We barely have anything.
I'm starting to think that no matter how many packs get thrown on top it'll never be as deep. That or we'll be going on 10 years before it does. Everything is supposedly split up allowing the devs to focus and flesh out individual aspects but it rarely ever feels like it's worth it to me.
I enjoy the game from time to time but it's also very shallow and I don't think more packs are the answer. Sometimes the packs will seem like they have a lot going for them but again it all end up being very surface level. It can boast about 10 new features but if they're all shallow, broken, and bare then those 10 features end up feeling very non-existent.
There is always a 'but' with new features.
Pets but only cats and dogs
Boats but only one sim at a time
Ocean Swimming but only in this new world
Retail but no home businesses
Apartments but only in this new world
