Maintaining a family tree

Didn't they fix that issue? I think the family tree stays intact even if the ghosts are released to the netherworld. At least in my game. :)

Mine are all still in the tree other than one sim I have that hasn’t had kids.

I thought it was fixed but here in my latest save

5 ancestors have been punched out, where in an earlier version of the save

they did exist.

What are the exact mechanics that ensure they stay?

If you wait a few minutes or close and reopen the tree, does the issue fix itself? I have this happen a lot, as my main family has an extensive family tree, so sometimes the thumbnails don't load like they should, but if I wait a bit or reopen the tree, they will eventually load.

I hoped this but it's not the case, I left the tree sitting for several minutes and they don't load. The only things I know for the sims that haven't been erased, their tombstone still exists in the world and the ones who've disappeared, their tombstone was changed to a blank one with no attached data

I have the same issue with my sims' family tree, but it's because the ancestors and parents of my sim aren't actually mine. His parents are June and Pace Foreman by XUrbansimsx.(Jenn2606 on the gallery) I combined her Foreman's with a family I created and their son Ryan is genetically theirs through CAS. He and his wife are my avi.

Are you trying to remember your family tree? Why don't you make a account on family echo to keep it all safe?

I was setting up a sims 2 save file with all recreated sims 2 sims and relationships, and noticed in my own personal play save of it the earlier Capp generation was knocked out. I've noticed it as well on a newer restarted versions of the save with the Broke family punching out the relations so Ruby, Trigger and Susie are no longer related to Skip.
The only solution I've found since posting is using mccommand and never cull settings :/
I'm gonna run another version of the save and see if releasing the spirit manually saves them in the tree.

Do their name and info pop-up when pointed at, even if the thumb doesn't load?
