Make Neighborhoods Bigger!

This is something I've noticed and it's been bothering me a lot recently.

In one of the neighborhoods in Windenburg there's a total of 8 lots in that one neighborhood, that's double the amount that's in pretty much every other neighborhood. (Usually they have 4 or 5)

(not my screenshot, but this is the neighborhood)

The game runs perfectly fine in this neighborhood with 8 lots even on my low end PC so why don't they make bigger neighborhoods in general? We know it works fine within the games framework and all of the neighborhoods are seperate instances so there's no reason why they can't put this many lots in other neighborhoods.

It would be completely viable for them to put 8 lots in each neighborhood, stretch the playable area a bit, add a few rabbit holes and a fake park and it would heavily improve the playability of the game and make it feel less closed off. It would work fine within the game as we've seen through the Windenburg neighborhood which plays fine with 8 lots and other neighborhoods which have a large playable area work fine. So why don't they? It would make a huge difference if they did this in all of the worlds rather than sticking to 4 lots.
  • They can't make them any bigger now. Too many packs and too hard on performance. They have already said they can't but might do another one a little larger some time. But larger doesn't mean it will have more lots. But maybe more open I suppose. Or more spread out between houses. GM Lyndsay said at the time not all worlds would be small but that was about two years ago, when people complained, so I guess we wait another few years to find out if they build one with more lots in it.
  • If they can add seasons, eco footprint effect ect, they can also put additional lots I guess. This is not a rocket science.

I've found a good example that make worlds bigger is possible. Do you remember what maxis did when they realised The Sims Unleashed? They expanded existing world (in 2002). It means that in 2020 it is possible too especially that in The Sims 4 we also have no possibility to add our own lots in the world.

That was a very different game. I don't think they can do this with the Sims 4 engine but even if they could they obviously don't want too. They have expanded the world once already I don't think they would want to do it again

They attempted this with MP. It didn't work out so well. It was supposed to be some sort of extention is what I read and it wasn't working correctly. It is also a waste of space since not many Sims travel there even if your Sim hangs out all day in the open areas.

Bigger neighborhoods don’t matter to me if our Sims can’t ride through the neighborhood and visit residences or places without a loading screen. The only difference would be aesthetic and that is not reason enough for me. I’m perfectly fine with them continuing to add more neighborhoods.

Yeah but we still have just few lots to built per save.
