When our sims are on community lots they should get paid for being a bartender. Seems a bit strange that they do it as volunteer work :wink: .I wonder why this wasn't included... I know our sims could make quick cash from bar tending and being baristas in previous games (couldn't they even be a cashier in TS2?)There aren't any mods out there for this either, so I'm wondering if this is challenging to implement? If I'm mistaken about no mods, please let me know so I can put that in my game asap :joy:

I think you do get paid, but it's via a default mark-up. E.G. It costs 10 simoleons to make a drink, but you get paid 12 simoleons for it. Either that or I wasn't paying paying proper attention.

Unfortunately another detail EA doesn't care about adding. There are so many little details like this that could really change the game.

I miss being able to do that. In TS3 I always bought my Sim a guitar and sent them to a subway for some fast simoleons. There isn't much in TS4 one can do to make a quick buck.

I wish that bartender was an actual active career. That would be so much fun! You could bring back the schmoozer trait from TS3 and it could help them. Random townies will have the career, but when you play on them, they aren't working there anymore. But having it as just a little side job would be a lot of fun too. It's the little thing's that TS4 is missing out on that make the game worthwhile.

Making money as Bartender, Barista etc on community lots - why wasn't this a base game thing?

Oh. Well, I know you can sell the the empty glasses even, for at least what they cost to make.

Weird that it doesn't work like that on public lots.

I'd love this too. Some of my sims work as bartenders and baristas. I pay them using the money XxX cheat but it's annoying because I have to keep track of the time they've worked and do the math myself lol

With the buyable Computer or Cash Register. Like my Freelancer Mod, these will let you collect Money every 24 hrs. Like the Freelancer Mod the outcome is random and depends on your charisma level
Bartending. When Sims order a drink you will get a random Money loot no matter if you are the bartender or a NPC. Set the Hire Limit from 1 to 3 Barkeeper
EspressoBar. If you own a Café you will get Money when sims order Food or Drinks. Set the Hire Limit from 1 to 2 Barista
