Once you buy something, the value instantly goes down when you resell it. So eventually you'll run out of money, in theory.
If you are not opposed to cheating I'd highly recommend the UI Cheats Extension mod - http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=558548
One of the features lets you right-click on aspiration goals to complete it.
If you have self control, you can only use it for specific instances. Like, for example, particularly annoying ones I don't care for like "Play an instrument for 50 hours" or "Achieve 6 Parties at Level Gold"
