Marketplace goods/ready grilled cheese in Jungle Adventure?

I must be completely missing something because I can't find any place to buy non perishable food for my Sims (one has a whim to buy a ready to eat grilled cheese too and I can't find it anywhere).

Also can't seem to get credit for 'buying goods at the marketplace' for the aspiration. Where am I supposed to go?

    Also, it keeps saying that inventory changes frequently, but there's always the same stuff... firepits, chairs, tents, books.. can't even find a machete :(

    I've only seen them twice at the market table (out of maybe 10 visits). Both times it was at the beginning of a vacation (I don't know if that's a thing). They look like a little orange lump and are called GCRE (Grilled Cheese Ready to Eat, like an MRE).

    Yes, that. The credit only counts if you buy the items sitting on the table at the marketplace.
