I don't have a problem with what maxis is doing. However the only way to disable notifications is to lose out on all of your notifications all together. This means you are not allowed to get notifications on your own stuff or from people you follow or your friends. You lose it all forever unless if you are willing to put up with maxis spamming non-stop. This is the issue I have with it. They shouldn't control all or none of my notifications on my account that I pay for my games & other EA products. I get so distracted and constantly interrupted non-stop because this man decides to spam me non-stop. It's been months. He does this almost daily for up to 20 minutes at a time. It's terrible. I think if they at least had the courtesy of allowing me to unsubscribe or some how unfollow this mans alerts, it would help to keep what I want to see on my own personal account ONLY. I feel that my settings should be unique to me for my account if I want them to be and not what's picked or unique to Maxis. Maxis is still under EA regardless and you don't see EA in there spamming every body. I hate spam so much that I use a spam free e-mail, spam free browser along with spam block addons, panda antivirus. I certainly don't want to keep giving them money for my games if they refuse to give me a setting to limit their spam. We were never attacked this way in any of the previous sims games that I remember. He is also trashing my homepage and I have to constantly delete all of his garbage. Notifications should be for important things or some sort of news involving the game if we were to select marketing options to give us latest news and notifications or in form of a notification. I didn't allow Origin launcher from EA to enroll me for anything in their marketing options so this is breaching it since it's technically their game. I think I will try to submit through EA and ask if there is a marketing solution they can include for their game sims 4 to prevent their spam at some point from coming through. I love that Maxis is so encouraging and try to engage the community how they do it. It should be my option to receive or not to receive account spam through in game regardless. That choice should be mine to make and not theirs regardless of intent. I don't have this issue with Sim City thank goodness. XD. Would be cool if we could sort of customize our home page a bit too. :D
